Sacramento is celebrating Halloween family-style with some amazingly fun events sure to please the entire family. Dust off your spookiest, sparkliest, and splashiest costumes, and get ready to have a ghoulishly good time at these family-friendly events this Halloween season!

Fairytale Town: 37th Annual Safe & Super Halloween
Saturdays and Sundays: October 12-13 and 19-20, 2024
Escape to Neverland at the 37th annual Fairytale Town Safe & Super Halloween event in 2024!
Calling all pirates, mermaids, lost boys, fairies, and more to fly away to a magical evening of family fun with a sprinkle of pixie dust.
The Safe & Super Halloween event features “trick-or-treat” stations, family photo ops, a nightly costume parade, live entertainment, games, arts and crafts, and plenty of interactive activities.
Tickets are limited. Buy tickets online and save before Oct. 11th. Ticket prices go up on Oct. 12th. All adults must be accompanied by a child, and every child must be accompanied by an adult.

Old Sacramento Waterfront: Movies Under the Stars
Thursdays: Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 31, 2024
It's the spookiest time of the year, and you can celebrate with a hauntingly good, family-friendly movie every Thursday night in October! Movies under the Stars, presented by Xfinity, takes place at Old Sacramento State Historic Park.
Warning! Tickets are limited, and these events sell out early!
The spooktacular October schedule includes:

- Oct. 10: Monster House
- Oct. 17: Hocus Pocus
- Oct 24: The Nightmare Before Christmas
- Oct. 31: Twilight
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of takeout from one of the nearby Old Sacramento restaurants.

Scottish Rite Center: Sinister Halloween Con
Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19-20, 2024
For families with older kids or littles who just love monsters, Sacramento's Sinister Creature Con is a one-of-a-creepy-kind convention celebrating monsters and those who make them!
Featured guests include Peter Facinelli (Twilight Saga) and more!
Be inspired by the artists, painters, filmmakers, sculptors, tattoo artists, comic book artists, graphic designers, practical FX companies, actors, writers, and haunted attraction engineers who create the chilling creatures that haunt us onscreen and off.
Brave kids aged 12 and under are free with an adult. All other horror seekers will need an entry ticket!

Crocker Art Museum: Wee Halloween

Bring your little ones to this family-friendly Halloween festival and enjoy awe-inspiring performances, fun artmaking activities, spooky stories, a costume contest, trick-or-treating for art supplies, and more! Pose for the perfect photobooth portrait and boogie at the dance party.
For ages 2 - 8 and their accompanying adults. This is a ticketed event.

Aerospace Museum: Pumpkins & Planes

Soar over to the Aerospace Museum for the Pumpkins and Planes event from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 26, in the huge outdoor Air Park. Fly on over on your favorite broom and bring your littles for trick-or-treating, music, games, and Halloween-themed activities for the whole family!
