Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork Festival Returns for 2022

September 6, 2022 | By The Railyards

The annual Farm-to-Fork Festival is the quintessential Sacramento event, celebrating food, wine, agriculture, and community. Find out what's in store for the 2022 Farm-to-Fork Fest.

Sacramento's Farm-to-Fork Festival

This incredible festival began as a small idea from Josh Nelson (of the Selland Family Restaurants) in 2012, who shared a vision for highlighting the region’s amazing food and agriculture with Visit Sacramento. The inaugural Farm-to-Fork Festival kicked off in 2013.

Northern California's best fresh food festival now attracts more than 100,000 people from all across the country.

What can you expect from everyone’s favorite foodie fest?

A series of family-friendly events, including live music performances and multiple ways to celebrate our region's farms, food, and wine.

Important Dates for Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork Festival 2022

This season kicks off on September 8, 2022, with the Legends of Wine outdoor tasting event and concludes with the two-day festival on September 23-24, 2022.

Legends of Wine: September 8, 2022

Watch the California State Capitol transform into one giant outdoor tasting room on September 8 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Local wine legends Darrell Corti and David Berkley will be on hand pouring unlimited tastes, and local food vendors will have delicious pairing bites to sample. Meet local winery owners as they pour at their booths and taste the best wines from our Northern California region.

Did you know? The largest crop coming out of Sacramento County last year was wine grapes.

This is a ticketed event, and all event attendees must be 21 or older.

Tower Bridge Dinner: September 11, 2022

The most exclusive dining experience is the annual Tower Bridge Dinner for 800 people, served on Sacramento's iconic Tower Bridge.

This year's attendees will dine on delightful dishes from acclaimed local chefs, including Tyler Bond of Lemon Grass, Nina Curtis of Plant'Ish & Co. Culinary Arts, Patrick Prager, Q Bennett of Q1227 Restaurant, and Greg Desmangles of Urban Roots. Specialty cocktails will be served over artisan ice cubes from Sacramento's Block Ice.

Tower Bridge Dinner guests will enjoy the soulful stylings from local acoustic guitarist/ singer Dan Rau.

The Tower Bridge Dinner sells out early every year, so if you’re not one of the lucky 800 attendees who already procured a spot, you won’t be able to attend for 2022.

If you want to attend next year, mark your calendar and keep a close eye on Visit Sacramento in summer 2023: the organization holds a random drawing for the chance to purchase two public tickets.

Farm-to-Fork Festival: September 23-24, 2022

There's no need to cry into your napkin over the lack of seats at the Tower Bridge Dinner because there is room for everyone at the two-day Farm-to-Fork Festival at Capitol Mall in Downtown Sacramento!

Get ready to eat, drink, and dance — after last year’s smaller-scaled event (due to COVID precautions), this year’s festival is full-sized and bursting with flavor.

Three demonstration stages will feature cooking and food showcases, including a James Beard Foundation featuring top culinary talent.

Also on stage is a complete line-up of live music, headlined by Japanese Breakfast and Gregory Porter.

Admission is free, but bring your credit/ debit cards because beer, wine, cocktails, and bottled water sales will be completely cashless. Family-friendly, all ages welcome.

The street festival takes place:

  • Friday, September 23: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Saturday, September 24: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
