In August 2025, construction crews broke ground on the new home of Sacramento’s beloved Republic FC soccer team. With construction on the new stadium underway, dive in to discover what you can expect from this latest addition to The Railyards' neighborhood.
Take A Tour of Republic Stadium
At 7th and N B Street in Sacramento, in the Northwest section of The Railyards, the Republic Stadium is beginning to take shape. When the project is complete, it will be home to the Sacramento Republic FC Soccer Team, offering a space to welcome up to 12,000 fans.
But the vision for this space goes far beyond game day: the venue will also provide exciting opportunities for concerts, festivals, community gatherings, and other events.
Wondering what you can expect when you attend your first game or show at the new venue?
Once you’re geared up and ready to take your seat, you’ll enjoy one of the stadium’s four types of seating:
- A supporters section with rail seating (also called safe-standing) space for 700 people
- General seating options range from the sidelines to behind the goal
- Premium seating options that come paired with climate-controlled club lounges, elevated food and beverages, and great views
- 17 luxury suites and other small group premium seating with features like dedicated service, dining, drinks, and more
When halftime rolls around, head out to the concourse to explore the supporters' yard, or visit the food market to enjoy signature locally inspired food and beverage offerings, or pick up a grab-and-go option to take back to your seat.
Looking to show off your Sac Republic FC pride? The stadium will also feature a 4,500-square-foot store where you can purchase the latest fan gear.
The stadium will be accessible by bike, light rail, regional bus line, Capitol Corridor, and ride-sharing services. A multi-modal accessibility plan is under development, so be sure to stay tuned for transportation updates.
Construction is Underway
The stadium broke ground on August 18, 2025, which means construction is officially underway as of Fall 2025.
The groundbreaking was a day of tremendous significance. It was a homecoming for Wilton Rancheria, the majority owners of Sac Republic FC. On August 18, 1958, the California Rancheria Termination Act stripped Wilton Rancheria and 40 other tribes of their federal recognition. Because of this, the stadium is also a reclamation – it sits on soil that belonged to Wilton Rancheria’s ancestors.
The tribe’s chairman, Jesus Tarango, stated, “We’re building this stadium, bringing a community together to come and to celebrate. That’s what that place served for thousands of years.”
Sacramento Republic FC estimates that fans will enjoy kickoff in the new stadium in 2027.
Reserve Your Seats
Sac Republic FC is currently taking deposits for seats, so book yours to make sure you’re the first fan in line when game day rolls around.
Even better? When you place your deposit, you’ll also be helping to share the game with kids in our community. Portions of the funds will support the SRFC Foundation’s efforts to install new futsal courts across the Sacramento region, providing local kids with places to play.
Pricing starts at, fittingly, just $9.16 to put a deposit down for supporter safe-standing tickets.
